課程概述	文化社會學專題討論 2015 年春季課程簡介　　Raymond Williams 曾說：「英文裡有二三個比較複雜的字，culture就是其中的一個。」事實上從現在的角度來看，除了Simmel, Mannheim, Lukacs & Gramsci之外，早期的社會學者對文化的重視明顯不足，或者不令人滿意。直到1960年之後，有關文化的討論逐漸擠進社會學界，而聚焦在文化自主性的爭議則陸續浮上台面。一時間，文化議題在人文、社會學科裡形成風潮，這種典範轉移或許可以稱為文化轉向(cultrual turn)或文化復興(cultural renaissance)。通過原典的解讀，本學期我們將從社會學的觀點對這一思潮作一基本的介紹。　　自然，文化的多義性與歧義性，解讀上難免也就充滿模糊性與曖昧性。在文化社會學的研究中，說法雜沓、進路迥異，內容五花八門、範圍包羅萬象，取材上難免掛一漏萬，撰擇上必然顧此失彼。然而，一個學期內能做的總是有限。經過取捨，本學期的討論就以 Elias的文化社會學為起點，接著處理Arendt & Benjamin；之後，我們集中處理文化社會學理論的若干重要思想家，即：Horkheimer & Adorno, Gramsci, Althusser, Habermas, Bourdieu, Alexander, Lyotard, Jameson 以及 Baudrillard等，雖說每位思想家分配時間嚴重不足，但仍希望同學能清楚掌握文化社會學的主要論題及爭議焦點。
課程目標	課程進行修課同學請到「CEIBA教學網站」。本學期所有文件傳遞、消息通知與作業繳交等，請全部 po 到版上，並自行備份。相關網路問題，請洽任課教師。　　 1. 每週作業：依據讀本內容，每週有相關問題請同學回答，提問會 po 在版上，回答也請回到版上。內容請直接徵引文本，或註明出處。每週作業請於上課前48小時po版，切勿遲交。無故遲交兩次者視同一次未交，兩次未繳交作業者視同無故報告缺席。本學期每週問題中，有一題必須處理是一樣的：(1) 文本的對話對象；(2) 文本影響了那些學者、著作、思潮或學門等。　　 2. 課堂報告：(1) 修課同學必須平均分擔報告與評論。(2) 課堂上，每週作業由一位同學報告並由一位同學評論所有同學的回覆。負責報告及評論的同學除不可抗力之原因外，不得缺席；無故報告缺席者，學期成績以不及格計。課堂報告亦請於上課前24小時po版，切勿遲交。　　 3. 期末報告：題目自訂，但以課程範圍為限。內容除本文外必須包含三個部分，即：術語彙編、文獻回顧與參考書目。(a) 術語彙編即期末報告中主要討論概念及其定義；(b) 文獻回顧即期末報告主要對話對像之反省與批判；(c) 參考書目即儘可能羅列所有相關文獻，並需區分為：必讀書目與延伸閱讀。期末報告最後繳交期限：2015.06.26。　　評分方式：期末報告佔40%，每週作業佔40%，課堂參與佔20%。
